1. The name of the Society is “British Columbia Association of Professional Registry Agents”.
 
2. The purposes of the society are:

a) To promote the interest and further co-operation among individuals and corporations in British Columbia engaged in the profession of registering, searching, investigating and reporting on public legal documents in the Province of British Columbia.

b) To advance the knowledge of and awareness of individuals engaged in the profession.

c) To study all types of problems of members relating to the profession and to aid in the solution thereof and generally to promote the highest standards of operating efficiency among members engaged in the profession.

d) To promote the highest standards of ethics and proficiency among members involved in the profession.

e) To carry on liaison and to foster good relations with relevant external organizations.

f) To receive, acquire and hold gifts, donations, legacies and devises and to use same for the promotion or development of any or all purposes of the Association.

g) To aid in the extension and development of the registry agent business.
